This Collections Specialist position is available in the Corona, California area. Your responsibilities - Control inbound and outbound collections calls and correspondence - Locate delinquent customer accounts through various means, e.g. skip-tracing, phone contact, written correspondence, and make arrangements for payment - Process bankruptcy filings in the correct manner when received - Lead all billing and reporting activities according to deadlines - Update customer files to ensure data integrity - Guarantee payments are processed - Abide by all rules and regulations established by the Federal Fair Credit Reporting Act - Catalog all customer payments to the correct reports - Act as liaison in maintaining quality customer service and a positive company image by resolving customer account inquiriesJob Requirements:- 3+ years of prior high volume collections experience - AA or BS/BA in Accounting preferred - Strong familiarity with Accounts Receivable (AR) - Construction experience - Commercial collections experience - Earlier experience working with various types of accounting software desired - Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills - Ability to analyze and make decisions on customer accountsAccountemps, a Robert Half Company, matches skilled accounting and finance professionals with remote or on-site jobs on a temporary and temporary-to-hire basis.
