Director of Insurance Marketing & Carrier Relations is responsible
for shaping, strengthening, and maximizing the agency’s strategic
relationships with insurance carrier partners across all lines of
business. This role leads carrier engagement strategy, oversees
marketing placement strategy, enhances producer and client
onboarding, and leverages financial, loss, and operational data to
optimize market performance and carrier partnership value. This
leader serves as the agency’s primary liaison to the broader
insurance marketplace—driving carrier strategy, ensuring alignment
with organizational goals, and elevating C3 Workspace’s presence
and influence across the industry. WHO YOU NEED TO BE Bachelor’s
degree required; advanced degree or industry certification
preferred. 5–7 years of relevant experience in carrier relations,
marketing, underwriting, or brokerage leadership. Property &
Casualty Insurance License required (or ability to obtain). Proven
success managing carrier relationships in a regional or national
brokerage environment. Deep understanding of commercial insurance
carrier appetites, underwriting philosophies, and market dynamics.
Strong negotiation skills with proven ability to resolve complex
underwriting and contractual issues. Proficiency in Microsoft
Office Suite and insurance technology platforms. Demonstrated
ability to lead strategic initiatives, influence executive
stakeholders, and drive measurable results. An excellent
communicator with strong interpersonal skills, capable of training
and engaging employees at all levels. Skilled at managing multiple
projects and priorities in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented, proactive, and committed to fostering an aligned
sales culture with C3 Risk & Insurance Services. Ability to
interpret financial reports, loss data, carrier contract
requirements, and performance scorecards. THE JOB The Director of
Insurance Marketing and Carrier Relationships contributes to C3’s
success by performing the following tasks: Strategic Carrier
Partnership Leadership Lead and manage strategic carrier
relationships with key carrier partners across all departments,
ensuring strong alignment with agency goals. Establish
quarterly/monthly meetings with our top strategic partners both
carrier and wholesaler to track results. Stay current on industry,
market, and carrier trends to ensure continuous improvement and
strategic advantage. Leverage financial, premium, and loss data to
strengthen carrier performance, optimize contingency outcomes, and
enhance partnership value. Review all carrier contracts to identify
opportunities for consolidation across lines of business and ensure
the agency maintains a focused, strategically aligned carrier
portfolio. Identify underperforming or duplicative carrier
relationships using comparative analytics, book performance, and
coverage competitiveness. Recommend rationalization strategies to
prevent unnecessary proliferation of carrier
appointments—strengthening leverage, maximizing partnership depth,
and enhancing client value. Support development of dashboards,
metrics, and reporting tools that enhance market transparency and
strategic decision-making. Use contract data, performance metrics,
and placement trends to evaluate which carriers deliver the
strongest outcomes for clients and the agency. Marketing Strategy &
Placement Support Collaborate with Claims, P&C, Employee
Benefits, Risk, and Client Services leadership to drive
enterprise-level carrier strategies. Providing guidance to ensure
optimal alignment with carrier appetites and agency strategy.
Partner with internal teams to execute strategic market
consolidation initiatives. Serve as the highest-level escalation
point for complex carrier negotiations, underwriting obstacles, and
market challenges. Maintain and continuously enhance internal
carrier resources, including carrier appetite guides and
underwriter directories. Author high-value marketing content,
including newsletters, market insights, carrier updates, and
strategic communications. Partner with internal stakeholders to
implement marketing strategies that enhance placement efficiency
and drive growth. Oversee marketing deliverables associated with
carrier meetings, ensuring clear follow-up, accountability, and
execution. Serve as a strategic resource to Client Executives on
key accounts by participating in upcoming renewals, acting as an
additional advocate for best-in-class marketing strategy,
appropriate client touchpoints, and consistent execution while
owning and enforcing the agency’s proven process for priority
clients. Producer & Client Onboarding Support Support new producer
onboarding by ensuring timely access to necessary carrier
appointments, tools, and resources. Assist with new client
onboarding by aligning carrier strategy, market support, and
placement planning with agency standards. Partner with operational
leaders to ensure smooth transitions during producer onboarding,
book rolls, and market migrations. THE FINE PRINT Work Environment
& Physical Demands The ability to operate standard office
equipment, such as keyboards, is required. Occasional in and out of
state travel to carrier events, appointments, and conferences

role is $120,000 to $160,000. The base pay offered will be
determined on factors such as experience, skills, training,
location, certifications, and education. Decisions will be
