Job Description:

Our industry leading client based in Irvine is seeking an Assistant Controller to manage the daily operational accounting functions to ensure accurate reporting and analysis of financial information as well as spearhead process improvement initiatives. The Assistant Controller will play a vital role in the strengthening of a premiere centralized accounting function. For this role, the Assistant Controller will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following: · Oversee the daily and month-end accounting operations while managing, developing, and leading a large team · Identify and champion opportunities to promote streamlined processes, financial systems, operational efficiencies and enhanced internal controls · Prepare the department for external audits and liaise with external auditors to support the audit of external filings and ensure accurate data and filings · Partner with other corporate functions and leadership including Finance and Financial Reporting to ensure regulatory reporting and financial controls compliance and provide forecast analysis · Assist in the implementation of best practices · Lead and/or participate in organizational goals and departmental projects and initiatives that drive process improvement within the accounting function The qualified Assistant Controller must possess the following: · Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance · CPA required – active status preferred · At least ten years of related work experience – combination of public accounting with a Big 4 or 2nd tier national firm AND private industry experience within a large multi-entity operating organization · Prior experience overseeing a corporate accounting function · Advisory / Consulting experience involving system implementations and/or process improvement · Media & Entertainment industry experience is highly preferred but not required For further details, candidates should send their resume in MS Word format to teddy.kang@talentedsg.com.
