Here, you will make an impact by: /n - Replaces faulty electrical components of equipment (relays, switches, motors, etc.) /n - Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, lighting fixtures, etc. /n - Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and components of equipment /n - Diagnosing, troubleshooting, root cause analysis of failures and eliminating equipment problems /n - Assist with projects, installation of new equipment and modification of existing equipment /n - Follow the National Electrical Code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and all company policies and procedures (Environmental, Health and Safety, Code of Conduct, etc.) /n /n Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications: /n - Possess a high school diploma or higher (completed and verified prior to start). /n - Five (5) years of electrician experience working around heavy machinery. /n - Ability to work weekends, overtime, holidays as needed, short notice shift coverage, and ability to work 2nd shift (2 PM - 10 PM) with assistance with working 1st and 3rd shift, as needed. /n /n Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: /n - Two-year technical degree from an accredited institution /n - Seven years of Electrician experience and/or apprenticeship experience in a private, public, government, or military environment /n - Certified and licensed Electrician in the state of California /n - Critical thinking, problem solving, customer service, and troubleshooting skills /n - Ability to communicate effectively throughout and work with cross-functional teams /n - Experience with Microsoft Office Suite /n - Recent experience working at a mine, quarry, cement plant or similar industry. /n /n Pay & Benefits: - /nThe starting rate of pay for this position is $43.10.
