We develop data and video analytics platforms, building on state-of-the-art technologies including AI, machine learning, big data and cloud services to enable the digitalization of mobility.The Role:A Field Service Technician provides technical support to engineers and scientists in areas such as production, operations, maintenance, safety, testing, process improvement or product development. The technician uses schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions or defined plans to perform testing and troubleshooting on electronic or mechanical components, equipment or systems. The technician gathers, maintains, formats, compiles and manipulates technical data using established formulae and procedures and performs detailed mathematical calculations.The technician will perform specialized technical tasks required to support operations and has basic skills in an analytical or scientific method or operational process. The individual works within clearly defined standard operating procedures and/or scientific methods and adheres to quality guidelines, and works with close supervision.This position requires vocational training or the equivalent experience and may require external certification. Responsibilities:+ Perform daily remote and onsite inspection checks of enforcement systems to inspect camera housings, camera poles, and warning signs for graffiti, scratches, damages and obstructions+ Perform support and maintenance of roadway and data center network including firmware and configuration updates+ Diagnose problems and come up with solutions to repair them+ Document the completion of daily maintenance activities+ Perform routine cleaning and light maintenance tasks+ Work with remote support team to verify equipment related to the camera system is in good working order and condition, test systems to capture and record images of traffic events, and perform maintenance and provide customer support+ Explain issues with equipment and repairs to customers+ Build and maintain relationships with customers+ Perform any other duties and tasks as assignedWhat's in it for you?+ Solving complex problems that improve daily the lives of people around the world+ Opportunity to work with cutting edge technologies in a high-growth industry+ Career growth and development opportunities+ Casual work environment with flexible work hours+ Excellent benefits including a no-cost medical insurance option for employee and eligible dependentsWhat we are looking for:+ Associate degree in related field+ Comfortable with hand tools, power tools, generators, low voltage electrical, camera systems+ Related traffic or road construction work experience required+ Ability to work on roadside in a bucket truck, clear zone, toll equipment buildings+ Ability to install, repair, service, test equipment+ Ability to work flexible hours, on call, weekend rotation coverage+ Excellent communication, interpersonal and diagnostic skills+ Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the job which include bending, lifting to 50 lbs. and working in confined spaces+ Driver's license with a clean driving record+ Reliable transportation to and from work+ High proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, Excel and TeamsOur top Candidates will have:+ A+, Network+ certificate or equivalent work experienceKapsch TrafficCom is an equal opportunity employer.
