experienced Principal Project Management or a Senior Principal
Project Management to join our team of qualified, diverse
individuals onsite in Rancho Bernardo, Ca . This position is
required full-time, in-office. Hybrid scheduling (time split
between in-office and work-from-home) may become available
depending on future project needs. Accomplish You will serve as a
liaison between data scientists, data engineers, and software
engineers, functional and technical management, and program
management. You will review the status of projects and budgets,
manage schedules, prepare status reports, assess project issues,
and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and
customer-satisfaction goals and objectives for a highly technical
and innovative Data Science, Analytics, and Machine Learning Team
within the Product Support division. You must demonstrate proven
leadership and team?building abilities, excel in interpersonal
communication in a technical setting, consistently drive high team
motivation, and thrive as a flexible and collaborative team member.
This is NOT a manager-level position and will NOT be responsible
for direct reports. Essential Functions : Manage and track status
of projects, metrics, financial budgets, and EACs; manage schedules
and prepare status reports; and ensure project remediation and
ongoing compliance goals are met. Support staff meetings to include
facilitating, compiling charts, and tracking action items by
developing comprehensive project plans, including timelines,
resource allocation, and budget forecasts, for all projects, while
demonstrating strong written and verbal effective communication to
management. Proactively manage risks and opportunities such as
allocation of resources and schedule modification. Support
pre-proposal and proposal activity, including the review of
specifications, scope of work, and financial requirements
specifically for the Data Science team. Assist with streamlining
and managing the required processes for procuring novel hardware
and software, including all approvals, financials, security, IT,
facilities, etc. Adhere to existing NG processes and demonstrates
ability to understand processes and apply them Succeed The

will possess the following qualifications. This requisition may be
filled at either a Principal Level or a Sr. Principal Level Basic
Qualifications for Principal Project Management: Bachelor’s degree
with 5 years of project management experience, OR Master’s degree
with 3 years of project management experience. Recent professional
experience in scheduling and Earned Value Management (EVM) for Data
Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or similar scope
projects. Proficient computer skills using Microsoft Office
products (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Your ability to obtain and
maintain the final adjudicated government Top Secret clearance, and
any program access (es) required for the position within a
reasonable period of time, as determined by the company. Basic
Qualifications for Sr. Principal Project Management: Bachelor’s
degree with 8 years of project management experience, OR Master’s
degree with 6 years of project management experience. Recent
professional experience in scheduling and Earned Value Management
(EVM) for Data Science, Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or
similar scope projects. Proficient computer skills using Microsoft
Office products (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Your ability to
obtain and maintain the final adjudicated government Top Secret
clearance, and any program access (es) required for the position
within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company.
Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated financial management
skills/knowledge including development and control of program
budgets, schedules, and the ability to recognize and capture
program changes, especially for multiple, different funding
streams. Ability to understand technical requirements, their impact
on Product Support elements, and provide recommendations on complex
programs. Proven success managing multiple projects simultaneously
and developing a plan of action while coordinating across a large,
diverse team of program, business, and technical SMEs. Experience
using MS Power BI, and/or Tableau, MS SharePoint, MS Teams, MS
Project, Jira and Confluence. Experience in the
DoD/military/defense and/or aviation/aerospace industry, with
knowledge of government contracting requirements and proposal
process. Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or similar.
Active DoD Top Secret Clearance and Special Program Accesses.

Salary Range: $94,200.00 - $141,200.00 Secondary Level Salary
Range: $117,500.00 - $176,300.00 The above salary range represents
a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number
of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope
and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's
experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime,
shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base
pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions
as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees
in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long
Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety
