- Provide speech and language therapy within the clinic and/or
schools
- Complete speech and language assessments using formal and
informal assessment tools
- Develop and implement developmentally/functionally appropriate
goals
- Maintain timely treatment records and progress reports
- Consistently assess progress and adjust treatment plans as
needed
- Prepare patient reports (evaluation, progress and
discharge)
- Provide parent support and education
- Collaborate/consult with allied health and education
professionals
- Provide supervision for Clinical Fellows and SLPAs
- Support marketing campaigns/marketing materials/referral
appreciation
- Process vacation requests in assistance to the Operations
Coordinator
- Available for new hire shadowing/clinical orientation
- New hire to shadow leads case load for first week - including
an evaluation
- Lead to observe new hire during treatment and evaluation of new
patients during week 2
- Maintain daily availability to support therapists underneath
you regarding evaluation planning, treatment planning,
parent/teacher communication, etc to ensure practice standards are
met
- Lead therapist satisfaction/ resolution of SLP team
- 90-day review of new clinic SLP staff
- Meetings:
- Meet with therapists underneath you on a bi/weekly basis for
30-45 minutes through first 90 days- Following 90-day review, meet
with therapists 1:1 as needed
- Attend weekly leadership/management meeting
- Lead weekly discipline meeting
- Monitor and update evaluation, progress note, and authorization
procedures
- Monitor documentation timeliness and quality
- Report/documentation proofing:
- Review daily notes for first 2 weeks
- Review initial evaluations and progress notes for first 90
days
- Conduct monthly audits of documentation, per HealthPRO
standards
- Check in with scheduling changes, evaluations, waitlists,
etc.
- Problem-solve authorization questions with SLPs and office
staff
- Parent support/communication
- Be available for volunteer interviews
- Help with SLP interviews
- Monitor SLP budget and equipment/ protocol requests
- CEU opportunities for staff- coordinate with OT/ PT leads to
find opportunities for staff to learn together (OT/SP/PT)
- Review of Productivity and make recommendations for
changes
- Problem solve scheduling issues
- Development and assignment of Special Projects
- Training/communication/monitoring of new procedures and
policies to staff
- Ensuring organization, neatness and cleanliness of treatment
areas
- Abide by the rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the
company
- An hour per therapist on your team will be allotted for "Lead
Duties" each week
- Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech- Language
Pathology (CCC-SLP) through the American Speech-Language-Hearing
Association or qualify to complete Clinical Fellowship
- Must hold a current state license to practice in the state of
CA
- Assumes responsibility for ongoing continuing education and
professional development
