Family Wellness Center provides outpatient therapy and support
services for children, teens, young adults, and their families. Our
therapists help clients identify strengths, build connection, and
navigate challenges in ways that center healing relationships and
culture. We use evidence-based, family-focused, strength-based,
culturally relevant, collaborative, trauma-informed approaches.
This Therapist role provides direct therapeutic services to
children, adolescents, young adults, and their parents/caregivers.
The Therapist attends routine staff meetings and participates in
consultation as needed. Services are provided in the clinic and via
telehealth. The Therapist collaborates with internal and community
partners in the best interest of clients. The Therapist is
responsible for meeting productivity and documentation expectations
and following all agency policies. The requirements below reflect

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other Duties May Be
Assigned) Clinical Services Utilizes an individualized, culturally
appropriate, trauma-informed, strength-based treatment approach.
Solicits and integrates client and family input into treatment
goals, service delivery, and ongoing quality feedback. Provides
screening, assessment, treatment planning, individual, group, and
family therapy. Provides case management and consultation, as
clinically indicated. Collaborates with multidisciplinary team
members within the program and with community partners to support
client goals. Seeks and utilizes outcome measures to monitor
progress and guide treatment. Documentation & Compliance Completes
timely, clinically sound, and comprehensive documentation in
alignment with SDCC standards, Joint Commission standards, and
payer requirements. Meets productivity expectations as defined by
the program and agency, including timeliness and volume of billable
services. Utilizes the electronic health record efficiently to
support accurate documentation and billing. Collects all necessary
information to facilitate billing for reimbursable services.
Maintains current licensure with the California Board issuing the
license and provides verification to HR. Reports any unsafe acts,
conditions, or accidents to immediate supervisor immediately.
Professional Expectations Participates in routine staff meetings
and scheduled 1:1 supervision. Engages in case consultation as
needed. Maintains professionalism, respect, and a collaborative
approach with coworkers, clients, and partners. Demonstrates
ethical practice consistent with legal guidelines and professional
role. Sets annual professional development goals and participates
in regular performance reviews. Engages in continuous training in
evidence-based and culturally relevant practices. Integrates SDCC’s
IDEA (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Action) values into
clinical work and decision-making. Communicates directly with
Program Director or Clinical Supervisor when support or training
needs arise. Supports the mission, vision, and values of SDCC and
the Family Wellness Center. Performs special projects, assignments,
and other related duties, as needed, to support Family Wellness
Center services and SDCC operations. Schedule Expectations
Therapist schedules include regular evening appointments (minimum 2
evenings per week) Therapist schedules include at least 2 weekend
appointment blocks per month Therapist must be able to provide
services via telehealth, when clinically appropriate and/or
operationally indicated, from the office or an approved private
HIPAA-compliant location LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read, analyze,
and interpret medical records, journals, reports, and legal
documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints
from customers, lawyers, regulatory agencies, or members of the
business community. Ability to effectively present information to
management and public groups. REASONING ABILITY Ability to define
problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid
conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of
instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Qualifications Minimum Requirements Master’s (MA/MS) or PhD in
social work, psychology, marriage & family therapy, or a related
behavioral health field Current California clinical license (LCSW,
LMFT, LPCC, or Psychologist) OR Registered Associate actively
pursuing licensure with the Board of Behavioral Sciences or Board
of Psychology Minimum 1 year direct clinical experience with
children, adolescents, and families Minimum 1 year experience
providing individual, group, and family therapy Valid California
Driver’s License and proof of auto insurance Ability to provide
evening appointments at least 2x per week and weekend appointments
at least 2x per month Preferred Qualifications Training in
evidence-based practices (for example: CBT, SFBT, DBT, ACT, Family
Engagement / Family Therapy) Experience and comfort providing
telehealth services Experience using an electronic health record
Bilingual Spanish
