Travel the country and make an impact on communities in need! AmeriCorps NCCC (National Civilian Community Corps) is a residential service program for young adults who want to lead a tight-knit team while making a difference across the United States. AmeriCorps team leaders in the NCCC FEMA Corps program deploy to one of our training locations, then travel with a team of 8-12 young adults throughout their assigned region for 12 months of full-time, immersive service. Apply by March 31 to begin service in July.Training LocationsSacramento, California(Location is assigned upon acceptance into the program. Your team could be conducting data entry, mapping disaster evacuation routes, or helping sign up survivors for assistance, so adaptability is key! As a team leader, you will be crucial to your team's success. You'll be responsible for directing, motivating, and mentoring a diverse team of young people. FEMA and AmeriCorps staff will look to you for coordination of project logistics. Gain invaluable supervisory experience, challenge yourself, and get a foot in the door to work for the federal government.
