Position SummaryThis position is responsible for the day-to-day operations involved in preparation and processing of company payroll with accuracy in compliance with all State and Federal laws and regulations in accordance with General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Defense Contractor Audit Agency (DCAA), and Defense Contractor Management Authority (DCMA).--This role is also responsible for the administration of all benefit and retirement programs within assigned business unit.

Essential Functions Statement:

  • Process the day-to-day payroll operations to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.--
  • May prepare and process special payrolls (i.e., bonus, commissions, manual checks, etc.) as needed, to ensure timely payments to employees.--
  • Review timecard entries weekly to ensure compliance with established company standards and government project costing.--
  • Prepare semi-monthly payroll, deductions, and withholdings.--
  • Ensure internal controls and standard operating procedures are being adhered to and employees are paid correctly.--
  • Prepares reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability and nontaxable wages.--
  • Assist with the Year-end W-2 and ACA validation and distribution--
  • Resolves payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing data.--
  • Provides payroll information by answering questions and requests.--
  • Analyze and prepare accruals for month end reporting in relation to paid time off.--
  • Administer various employee benefits programs, such as group health, flexible spending accounts, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, 401(k), and wellness benefits.--
  • Conduct benefits orientations and explain benefits self-enrollment system.--
  • Maintain employee benefits filing systems and ensure benefits changes are entered appropriately in payroll system for payroll deduction.--
  • Assist with 401(k) Reporting Support requirements.--
  • Full reconciliation of employee benefit premium deductions on a semi-monthly basis.--
  • Coordinate and communicate with other departments with regards to proper accounting of benefits invoice payments and employee deductions.-- --Competency Statements

      Required Education, Experience and CertificatesEducation: Associates DegreeExperience: 5-7 years of experience processing California payroll; 2+ years of experience in benefits administration.--Certificates and Licenses:--
      • Certified Payroll Professional--
      • Professional in Human Resources - California (PHRca)--
      • COVID-19 Vaccination Card Computer Skills: Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite Programs; ADP.------Preferred Education, Experience and Certificates--Experience: Government contractor compliant payroll; aviation industry.------Additional Eligibility Qualifications--Must be able to accomplish any and all duties with little or no assistance.--Must have good command of the English language; oral and written.----Work Authorization/Security Clearance--Employee must be a US citizen.

        Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
