In these newly created software development leadership roles
(2), you will enable Sarnova’s/Cardio Partners technology
organization to deliver faster, smarter, and more reliably. By
championing Agile practices and engineering standards, you will
improve delivery velocity, enhance team collaboration, and ensure
technical solutions meet business objectives. Your leadership will
directly impact operational efficiency, customer experience, and
the modernization of enterprise platforms. This is an exciting
position in which you will be building the SW Development and QA
teams from scratch. Cardio Partners, a division of Sarnova, is a
national leader in emergency prevention and an ardent advocate in
the fight against Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA). Cardio Partners
offers complete cardiac solutions to our customers including
equipment, consultation, end-to-end training, and program
management. As an authorized master distributor of all FDA-approved
defibrillator devices, the company provides customers the
best-in-class value for new and recertified equipment. Customers’
emergency preparedness needs are met via Cardio Partners’
nationwide CPR training courses and state-of-the-art program
management services. For Non-Central Ohio candidates this can be a
remote position. Candidates must reside in the United States, will
be expected to work EST work hours and must not require current or
future visa sponsorship. Summary: As the Software Engineering
Manager, you will build and lead a high-performing team responsible
for delivering enterprise technology software solutions and driving
Agile delivery excellence. This role focuses on engineering
leadership, process optimization, and delivery management,
leveraging tools such as Jira and Confluence to ensure
transparency, collaboration, and predictable outcomes. You will
partner with product, business, and technology leaders to align
priorities and deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality
solutions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Drive adoption
of Scrum and Agile best practices across engineering teams;
facilitate sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and release
planning • Own delivery timelines and ensure predictable execution
of technology initiatives; monitor progress using Jira dashboards
and Agile metrics • Configure and maintain Jira and Confluence for
workflow automation, reporting, and documentation; ensure teams use
these tools effectively for transparency and collaboration •
Provide technical guidance and leadership for solution design,
architecture reviews, and code quality standards • Partner with
product owners, business stakeholders, and QA teams to align
priorities and ensure successful delivery of features and
integrations • Analyze delivery metrics (velocity, cycle time,
defect rates) and implement process improvements to enhance team
performance • Build and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a
culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous learning •
Work with recruitment team to hire employees; conduct performance
reviews • Identify delivery risks early and implement mitigation
strategies; escalate blockers and drive resolution • Ensure
technical documentation and project artifacts are maintained in
Confluence for organizational transparency Skills/Experience
Required: • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science,
Information Technology, or related field required • Minimum 7 years
of experience in software engineering and delivery management •
Previous supervisory experience required • Proven experience
leading technical teams in an Agile/Scrum environment • Strong
proficiency with Jira and Confluence for Agile project management
and documentation • Deep understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum,
Kanban) and engineering delivery practices • Excellent
communication and leadership skills; ability to bridge technical
and business conversations • Experience managing complex technology
projects with multiple stakeholders • Familiarity with DevOps
practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
preferred • Experience with microservices architecture and
API-first strategies preferred • Exposure to eCommerce, enterprise
integrations, or SaaS platforms preferred • Certifications:
Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe, or Agile Coach credentials
preferred
