Walsh is currently seeking a Vice President of Health,
Safety, and Environment. We can be flexible with the
location of this position.
The VP of Health, Safety, and Environment oversees all aspects
of Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Programs to ensure
company compliance. The VP will also implement all Health, Safety
and Environmental Programs, policies, and procedures that comply
with federal, state, and local regulations.

Identifies and establishes HSE programs, guidelines and
standards that support the companys business plans and are
compliant with all regulations.
Deploys HSE processes that demonstrate continuous improvement in
Develops annual corporate operating planning and corporate
governance processes, including audits, compliance initiatives,
government reporting, and identification of best practice
Establishes key HSE metrics for the corporation that drive
synergies between Walshs strategic business objectives and the HSE
Sets appropriate staffing and HSE education/training goals for
all project teams companywide.
Monitors and reports on relevant changes in applicable OHS
(Occupational Health & Safety) and environmental
regulations/requirements related to Walsh operations.
Supports relationships with clients and other stakeholders for
purposes of HSE systems interface and deployment.
Minimum 15 - 20 years of experience, with the majority of the
experience on major construction projects
Bachelors Degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Civil
Engineering or Construction Management or equivalent
CHST (Construction Health & Safety Technician) Certification and
CSP (Certified Safety Professional) is required
Excellent leadership and communication skills, critical thinking
and problem solving abilities, and ability to prioritize, organize
and manage time.
Knowledge of regulations and standards as well as hazard
recognition and injury management skills
