Job Title: Accounting Clerk I

Summary:

The accounting clerk duties include AP and AR data entry, assistance with month end closing, account reconciliations, filing and various office and accounting projects as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Daily input of payable invoices, including PO/receiver reconciliation
  • Match vendor payments to invoices
  • Daily input of cash receipts and preparation of daily reconciliation
  • Transmission of daily invoicing
  • Maintain prepaid expenses
  • Reconciliation of credit card purchases
  • Assistance with month end close

Other:

  • Assist with quarterly physical inventory
  • Various office functions including posting mail, filing etc.

Qualifications:

Education and/or Experience:

  • Education: High School diploma and/or accounting related college courses
  • 3-5 years accounting experience

Language and Comprehension Skills:

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language. The ability to write routine reports and correspondence when required.

Mathematical Skills:

Knowledge of basic math skills, including arithmetic and algebra.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding, objectivity, compassion, and patience to deal with multiple personality types and characteristics (internally & externally). Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Attention to detail and the ability to multitask is an asset.

Computer Skills:

Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn company ERP system.
