Come grow with us, where we develop and nurture the next generation of leaders.We are looking for an EH&S Coordinator who will join our Scotts MiracleGro team in Temecula, CA.The EHS Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the environmental, health, safety and security programs and compliance of The Scotts Company to all local, state, and federal environmental regulations and corporate guidelines and procedures.What you'll do in this role:Work closely with plant management and EHS Specialist to develop a strong safety culture with all employees being dedicated to working safely and in conformance with all Company standards, OSHA end environmental regulations.Complete EHS daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly inspections and documentation.Effectively communicate EHS training sessions and safety talks in a group setting, review training test records and retain training records.Ensure new hires receive required and documented EHS training prior to beginning work.Providing guidance and direction for emergency response activities for the facility.Update and maintain Job Hazard Analysis database and ensure required PPE is available.Perform and coordinate incident, injury and near miss investigations and ensure corrective actions are implemented.Coordinate Safe Behavior Auditing program, documentation and corrective actions.Under the direction of the EHS Specialist, support Contractor Safety program including contractor safety training safety documentation.Ensure facility housekeeping program is implemented and effective.Update and maintain plant MSDS/SDSEnsure compliance with stormwater discharge permit including permit and plan updates, facility inspections, stormwater sample collection and record documentation.Lead spill prevention by keeping facility SPCC plan up to date, performing all inspections and directing spill response activities.Manage solid and hazardous waste program.Assist sustainability efforts by participating on sustainability evaluations and committees as required and reporting sustainability data.Serve as EHS lead on the WCO safety committee.Must be able to work flexible hours, including second shift, overtime and weekends if necessary.What you'll need to be successful:2-3 years of EHS experience in manufacturing, agriculture or related field; with increasing responsibilitiesProven experience in leading change and implementing new ideas and concepts.Track record of driving results through fact-based analysis and business process implementationDemonstrated ability to build lasting relationships and to gain cross-function alignment for executionProven ability to drive results working through others at various levels within the organizationWorking knowledge of applicable health and safety regulations and standardsKnowledge of facilities and operational proceduresProvide assistance and support in the process improvement/administration of plan environmental, safety and occupational health programs.Fluent in both English and Spanish is preferredWhat we do for you (just to name a few cool ones):Up to 34 paid days off each year13 paid company holidays12 paid vacation days (accrued monthly)7 paid sick days (56 hours, accrued monthly)2 community service daysThree Medical plans to choose from with an option to participate in a health screening to earn substantial wellness incentivesBasic PPO PlanPremium PPO PlanHigh Deductible Health Saving Account (HSA) Plan with a company contributionNew hire benefits coverage begins within a month of your start date: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Vacation and Sick TimeBenefits are available to you, your spouse/domestic partner and your children401(k) company match up to 7.5% with immediate participation and vestingAbility to purchase company stock at a 15% discounted price from market valueFitness and nutrition reimbursementsAdoption, fertility and surrogacy assistance10 weeks of Parental Leave (4 weeks paid and 6 weeks unpaid)Tuition reimbursement for Professional Certifications, Associate and Bachelor degree programs, and Graduate degree programsTo view all of our great benefits, click here!* Eligibility for the above benefits may vary based on full-time/part-time status or additional factors.Not interested in this role?
