Job Description:
A company is looking for a Professional Ortho Surgical Medical
Coder - Remote.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform quality surgical coding on orthopedic surgery cases and E/M
as assigned
Maintain knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding principles, ensuring
accurate coding for all documented services
Review coding queues daily, address corrections, and communicate
with relevant staff to ensure compliance and efficiency
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma
3+ years of physician coding experience, including IP and OP coding
for physician claims
2-3 years of experience coding orthopedic procedures
Active CPC certification from AAPC
EMR experience and advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, and
PowerPoint
