An Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action EmployerPosition Summary:The Business Intelligence Analyst will gather, clean, and analyze data from various sources to ingest in reporting systems for business users to consume during their decision-making process. The candidate will use a range of tools and methodologies to create products aimed at uncovering insights and exposing business opportunities. To be successful in this role, the candidate must have exemplary communication skills for all audiences and a solid understanding of business analytics. The Business Intelligence Analyst will be the expert who can provide ad-hoc support and help educate stakeholders on data best practices.. Essential Job Functions:- Lead end-to-end development of sophisticated data solutions aimed at improving reporting and analytical capabilities- Work with large datasets (SQL Server, Azure SQL, Google Analytics, SAP) as needed to drive analytic, graphical, and reporting solutions- Work cross-functionally, both horizontally and vertically, to identify requirements and potential KPIs- Provide data analytic services to internal stakeholders to help solve critical business problems, drive value, and build strategies and insight from data- Document data definitions, key metrics, and reports, ensuring alignment and consistency in reporting across the company- Proactively seek and frame opportunities and identify business risks- Act as a consulting resource for data architecture, data model creation, and data analysis across the enterprise- Become subject matter expert on all sales data and employ tools such as R and Python to find hidden insights within the data- Working with IT and other departments with our metadata to maintain user access, hierarchy and security- Data cleansing exercises, either through manual update or data load to address issue areas- Identify, analyze and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets- Present interpretation and insight to senior management, sales operations and the entire North American sales force - Develop and maintain all documentation for report development and enhancements- Locate and define new process improvement opportunities- Provide specialized system/software training.- Other related duties as assigned.. Qualifications:- BA/BS (MS preferred) in an analytic-heavy focus (eg, data science, mathematics, statistics, etc)- 4-5 years of experience in an Analyst or similar role, preferably with a CPG company or within the DSD model- 4-5 years of experience with SQL (MS/Azure SQL preferred)- 4-5 years of experience with data visualization tools (Power BI preferred)- 4-5 years of DAX experience (filter context, row context, columns vs. measures, etc.)- Knowledge of data analysis and visualization best practices (data modeling, data presentation, UI/UX, etc.)- Experience with Python and/or R (numpy, scikit, matplotlib, ggplot2, etc.)- Experience with data management, specifically with data validation, augmenting, and cleaning - Experience processing, manipulating, enriching, and analyzing large datasets, interpreting them for making business decisions- Experience communicating the results of analyses with stakeholders to influence overall strategy- Experience with project ownership from requirement gathering, UAT, production, and version iteration- Painstaking attention to detail with a borderline obsessiveness for perfection.
